Basquiat the Little Restaurant looks welcoming and fashionable simultaneously. It draws inspiration from the famous American artist of the 80s, "Jean Michel Basquiat", a very talented, extravagant, controversial and brilliant writer and painter. Chef Giancarlo del Castello, for his open kitchen, uses only products and ingredients characteristic of the Lucanian area and offers innovative dishes. The menu focuses on Lucan specialities and, therefore, ample space for appetizers: broad beans and chicory, with bran peppers and fried breadcrumbs, Matera crapiata, with cereals, a mixture of legumes, vegetables and potatoes, cardoncelli mushrooms, blended with brandy and pesto parsley, tuna carpaccio and much more. At Basquiat's Il Ristorante, you will find a fish-based menu that will bring out the flavours of the sea to the fullest. In the gastronomic offer of the restaurant, the paccheri with cod and cherry tomatoes, the tubettoni with octopus and white bean puree, with cruschi peppers and fried breadcrumbs, the classic linguine allo scoglio and much more stand out.
